Every wall lands within 1.9 cm of what you measured — about as tight as the dining room survey closed. This replaces an earlier, much rougher fit built straight off the sketch; the wall-by-wall walkthrough (length, then turn, all the way round) was what got it here.

The 109.4° and 77° readings are treated as the actual interior angles at those corners (matching how angles are recorded elsewhere in this project), not as turn amounts — that interpretation is what made this fit close. Four corners near the door step inward rather than out (reflex, ≈270°), which is why the room reads as an irregular stepped shape rather than a simple rectangle-plus-bump.
What’s settled
- Shares the dining room’s 349 wall, flush. No gap, no offset. Which specific wall of this shape that is hasn’t been pinned down yet — see below.
- Its own window, separate from the shared wall. Faces the dining room’s window across the side passage, a light well, not usable circulation space.
- Built-in wardrobe, 57 cm deep. Existing joinery; its two front faces (38 and 113) sit flat and flush when its doors are closed.
- Radiator plumbing, not underfloor heating. UFH is scoped to the main room only; small boxing elsewhere in the room covers radiator pipework.
- Door opens inward, resting flat against the 101 wall. Hinged at the corner nearest that wall, so the open leaf lies parallel and close to it rather than swinging out into open floor.
- No renovation currently planned for this room or its route through the hall. This page exists to capture the numbers for later.
Needs verification on site
- Which wall is flush against the dining room’s 349 wall. Not yet matched to a specific wall in this shape — needed before the combined plan can show the two rooms truly to scale against each other.
- Window position along its wall. The 114 cm window is drawn centred in the 184 cm wall; its actual offset wasn’t measured.
- Possible future murphy bed in the 149 alcove (the stepped recess between the 35 and 39 walls — 149.6 cm long, ~37 cm deep). The length suits a double; the depth is shallow for most vertical wall-bed mechanisms, so check the cabinet depth of whichever system is chosen. A slightly lower ceiling was also noted over part of the room, possibly the same recess (an old chimney breast?) — not surveyed, not drawn here.
